GLASS CUTTING PLANT FOR LAMINATED AND FLOAT GLASS

With the combined glass cutting plant GFB/VB, it is possible to cut laminated glass sheets as well as to execute straight and shape cuts in case of float and cast glass. Moreover, the arrangement of both machine sections and the compact design also saves space.

Super Low-E processing speed of 33 sec/mm. The Tamglass SonicTM system is specifically tailored to the low emissivity glass products that are rapidly gaining market share in window and architechtural applications.  Demands placed on Low-E products include high standards of strength, breaking pattern, optical quality and flatness. In order to meet these requirements we had to address a multitude of exclusive, patented features that bring important competitive advantages to processors and their end-user customers.

HIGH CAPABILITY

Flexible processing at high speed .Today flexible and mixed production is a necessity in competition. This means that the processors must have the capacity to process all commercial and temperable glass types including those with Super Low-E coating. The extreme flexibility and adaptability required from the process underlines the importance of automatic heating and cooling control in line with recipes specified for each type of glass to be processed. Rapid adaptation of machine settings undercores the importance of automation.

HIGH RELIABILITY

Minimum production stops .High utilization rates of process machinery take their toll of the process and the assurance of maximum reliability becomes a crucial production factor. This in turn calls for ease of maintenance and minimum production stops when action needs to be taken. The SonicTM convection booster units are located outside the furnace where their maintenance is greatly facilitated and high uptime is quaranteed.

Laser cutting

Laser cutting is a thermal cutting process for processing sheet metal. The laser beam is created by the laser source (resonator), conducted by a transport fiber or mirrors in the machine cutting head where a lens focuses it at very high power on a very small diameter. This focused laser beam meets the sheet metal and melts it. Bystronic uses two types of laser sources: Fiber laser and CO2 laser.

Versatile

Laser cutting is extremely versatile. In addition to flat materials, tubes and profiles can also be processed by laser cutting systems. Primarily steel, stainless steel and aluminum are cut. The thickness of the processed sheet metal ranges from 0.8 to 30 mm.

  • Also available in 3015 and 4020 designs. This means that even 4 × 2 m sheet metal can be processed quickly and economically

  • Maintenance Messenger: Machine control notifies the operator when machines and laser sources require maintenance
  • Condition Messenger: Machine control continually collects data on the condition of the machine components. It informs the operator if a component requires checking
  • Extremely high parts production across all sheet thicknesses and for tube processing
